About me and my therapy practice

I am a registered and qualified Integrative Transpersonal Counsellor and Mental Health Practitioner.

My clinical experience includes working with young people and adults, in the charity, NHS & mental health sectors. I have years of experience working with individuals with various mental health issues, as a Therapist, Key Worker and group facilitator. My work as a private practitioner is informed by over 15 years of professional experience working therapeutically with clients and carers in mental health settings.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential space to support clients to express what matters to them. I work creatively with clients throughout their therapeutic journey. My therapeutic approach is integrative, so I draw upon a range of psychotherapeutic techniques/perspectives to support the expression of feelings and experiences. My specialist interest is facilitating expression of what client's find difficult to put into words.

How I work: I work with clients using image, visualisation, metaphor, poetry, the arts & the body to develop self-awareness and healing. As the therapeutic relationship is key to the work together, we will explore what emerges in the space, in a relational way.

I use different modalities specifically tailored to individual needs, for a more meaningful and valuable therapeutic process. In each session, we will co-create the space and build upon the therapeutic relationship.

I frequently work with clients to feel more fulfilled and improve their relationship with themselves and others.

I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and a Full Clinical Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP). I adhere to their Ethical Frameworks.

Please feel free to get in touch, via my direct contact links/website.

Through presence and acceptance, I can help you to build resilience and gain meaningful tools/insight for your journey ahead.

My first session

Initial Consultation: Free

It is natural to have different thoughts and feelings about therapy. Therefore, I offer a free 20 minute consultation where we can explore how therapy may help you. You can use this consultation to ask questions, discuss your thoughts and explore whether therapy with me, could work for you.

Following the initial consultation, if you decide that you would like to work with me, we will arrange your initial session. Appointments will generally be scheduled at the same time each week. The agreed fee is payable for the first and on-going sessions.

The first session: is where we can discuss your needs in more detail and how we can work together. I will take brief details about your history/background to gain more of a sense of what brings you to therapy. We can explore some of your wants and needs and hopes for the work together.

This session differs from subsequent sessions as it follows an assessment format. We will discuss the therapy contract and I will share relevant information with you regarding this contract.

The on-going sessions will continue to provide opportunities for you to share more of your story and to work on specific issues, or identify & explore any personal difficulties.

As your therapist, I will listen and support you through your process.
