About me and my therapy practice
I offer individual integrative psychotherapy and counselling from my private practice based in Islington or online using Zoom. Alternatively, I also offer outdoor sessions on either Hampstead Heath or Regent's Park London.
My main focus is your wellbeing and meeting your therapeutic goals. My specific integrative approach supports the therapy by drawing upon serval therapeutic disciplines tailored to meet your unique needs.
Importantly, I hold an open, non-judgmental authentic approach to the therapeutic relationship. In this way, allowing you to feel free to openly talk from a safe space that is private and confidential.
My North London indoor practice is a short walk from Angel Underground and has good bus links from East, West and Central London. However, I also provide online sessions using Zoom, which offers the flexibility to work from any space you feel safe enough to talk.
Typically, sessions take place on a once-weekly basis at a mutually agreed fixed time and day. Concerning the length of the work, I offer an open-ended agreement with reviews at either six or twelve weeks. Each review is an opportunity to discuss any potential end to the therapy, the therapeutic goals, or any other concerns you may have.
My first session
Before the first session, we have an informal no-obligation discussion to let me know a little about yourself and briefly outline your therapy needs. This is also an opportunity to meet me and get a feel for the therapy.
If you are unsure what you want from therapy but feel something is negatively impacting your day-to-day wellbeing, we can use your first few sessions to clarify and develop your therapeutic need.
Following the initial discussion, if you feel ready for the first session, you can immediately secure an available date and time that suits your schedule via the bookings section on my website. Alternatively, you can mail me or call to arrange the first session.
In the first session we will typically have an assessment to get a better picture of your history, better understand what you need from therapy, and discuss your most pressing issues.
During times of Covid-19, I also put in place a provision that if you test positive for Covid-19 or show any symptoms, I can offer you online sessions until you recover or test negative. If I test positive or show any signs of Covid-19, sessions would also have to continue online as long as I am well enough to do so. Lastly, any Government Covid-19 mandated restrictions on meeting in person would also mean that our sessions will continue online.
