About me and my therapy practice
As an integrative, humanistic therapist I endeavour to help individuals explore areas of their life or experiencing which may be causing them difficulty. This may involve looking at how they perceive themselves, others or their place in the world, to help them move towards their desired outcome. This is only possible by providing a safe, confidential and non-judgmental environment. As a BACP Accredited member, I adhere to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy. I attend monthly peer supervision as well as individual supervision and undertake regular continued professional and development. I thoroughly enjoy meeting different people and helping them to grow through their immediate obstacles, by uncovering inner resources and helping them to find new perspectives from which to confidently embrace their life. I often incorporate various techniques or models of understanding issues in sessions including CBT, Emotional Freedom Technique, Transactional Analysis and coaching tools for example. I offer a complimentary half an hour session to enable clients to establish whether I am the right person to assist them at this time, if this is requested.
Counselling can be carried out over in person, over the telephone or via Zoom or Doxy.me video conferencing.
