About me and my therapy practice
I am BACP Accredited which means that my practice has been deemed to meet the higher standards as a competent, ethical and independent therapist.
I work with couples, individuals and families.
I trained in the humanistic approach and integrate theory from the psychodynamic school where my core base comes from and this guides me when working with clients and helps them to manage and make sense of the issues they are facing. I am a trauma informed stabilisation specialist helping clients to release any past trauma and then reduce the impacts of this.
My approach is warm and fair but challenging. I provide what some say a mirror that I help you look into and identify what you want to change and then we work on changing it. I believe that anyone can listen but sometimes this isn't enough and you need a firm guide to work with you, short and sometimes longer term in the form of a mentor.
Some of my clients come for a prolonged period but reduce the frequency down after they feel a little better. We then work on a more flexible basis and they come back every few months until they feel they are where they wanted to be.
As a marriage counsellor I help my clients build better relationships working with how they communicate with each other and provide support and guidance on dealing with any conflicts they may have. I use a range of psychometric assessments to provide clients with data that can help them bring about lasting changes.
I combine theory with practice enabling my clients to both understand the “why” as well as the “how”. Working with clients on their journey, sometimes of self-discovery and growth enabling them to take “their life in their hands". I help my clients to find a way through their issues and provide a safe and confidential space to do so.

About me and my therapy practice
I am a fully qualified Counselling and Psychotherapy Supervisor. I run a private practice in the heart of Grantham and offer my supervises access to our facilities such as room hire, internet and access to a wide range of tools include that of MBTI, FIRO-b, TKI and Jigsaw. I trained in Humanistic Counselling and this was Gold Book standard, so I am equipped to support you and your practice and help to challenge and develop you in both growth and awareness. I work now from a psychodynamic approach and look more at this with my supervises enabling them to really get to the issue’s clients face.
My practice is educational and reflective, and you are welcomed to learn here in the safe space I provide. I am not the traditional person-centered supervisor and my supervises feel a real sense of development with me over talking and reflecting alone.
I can supervise Adult, Children and Young People and Couples.
I also offer supervision online and via skype.
