About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling fed up with negative repeated patterns of behaviour?

Would you like to make some positive changes to your life?

Whether it's because of trauma, loss or difficulty coping with your feelings and emotions right now, it's time to confront your fears and make some changes towards a happier, healthier you.

As a Person Centred therapist, I will work with you in a non judgemental, empathic way, facilitating your personal growth and understanding of your present emotions.

Therapy can take different amounts of time for different people. For some this will mean ongoing sessions to meet your needs over weeks, months or years. However, I now offer a 'one off' 90 minute session for those clients whose needs are more immediate or regular sessions are not appropriate for you right now.

I have many years of experience working with clients who have experienced trauma, abuse, stress and loss. These have been  within different settings such as schools, private practice and agencies.

Whatever your experience is, I hope through having the chance to talk and be heard you will start to trust in your inner resources and make the changes you want to help you feel more positively about yourself. This can take time and be emotionally hard work and together, with both our commitment to reach your goals, we can start on your journey of self discovery.

I provide confidential face to face, on-line and telephone counselling with a flexibility of days and times from Monday to Thursday inc.

Practice description

I practice in Market Harborough town centre in comfortable rooms with an adjoining car park which is available in the evenings.

Please note that there are a number of stairs to access the therapy rooms.

I also practice in a new purpose built room in Lutterworth which has easy access on the ground floor.

My first session

Your first session is a time for us to discuss any requirements or answer any questions we may have regarding your needs for counselling. It is also a time to get a sense of who we are potentially working with and deciding whether we want to proceed.

There will be an explanation of how I work and the boundaries we will work within as well as an opportunity to discuss my contract and what it means to you.

I will go through my assessment with you, which are questions designed to find out a bit more about you than you might think to tell me. I can also gauge from this information if I am qualified to work with you and what you want to bring to counselling or if you need a referral to someone better placed to help you.

About me and my therapy practice

I am a qualified Clinical Supervisor available to provide individual or group supervision privately or within your agency.

I am available in Market Harborough and Lutterworth with daytime and evening appointments.

While face to face supervision may not be preferable currently, I am also offering telephone and online supervision to ensure your supervision needs will be met.

Practice description

I like to offer robust, supportive and challenging supervision, based on the 'Page and Wosket Cyclical Model.

Building an open, trusting and mutually respectful relationship is the basis to our working alliance, allowing for honesty and learning in our work together. I offer regular reviews as part of our contract so that you always feel your needs are met within the supervision of your client work and practice.

My first session

Within your first session, we will discuss your supervision needs and requirements, contract and ways of working. With open discussion we can gauge whether we should like to work together and when, where and how this will be done.
