About me and my therapy practice
Are you constantly worried, anxious and on edge? Is it hard to stop those distressing thoughts? Do you feel low and tearful? Is it difficult to feel much pleasure in things or be motivated? Do you find yourself unable to resist urges and controlled by habits, alcohol, or food? Do you have issues with food or the way you look? Perhaps you actually dislike yourself and feel that you’re not good enough? Do you struggle with making friends and staying in relationships? These are some of the issues I have tackled with my clients. Would you like me to help you too? Counselling can be hard, but I am there to support you throughout the process.
I have been working with a big diversity of people since 2015, people of various cultures, religion, race. I have gained my experience within the NHS, charity counselling and the nationwide alcohol addiction service. I am a qualified and BACP accredited counsellor and I also hold MSc in Psychology and have been working in research psychology since 2017. But most of all I believe that the most healing element of therapy is the therapeutic relationship we create. I strive to be transparent and treat you as an equal part of this therapeutic journey worthy respect and attention. I offer you a relaxed space to talk where you get a better understanding of your circumstances and learn tools and skills to cope better. I work holistically blending various techniques. We might be exploring those big life questions you have, trying out new ways of reacting, or addressing those deep hurts you’ve been carrying maybe even since childhood. We will look at what is happening for you, where the difficulty comes from, what contributes to it, and what can be done to make things better.
I’m open to different ways of talking things through. We can use words, images, or even things-I have worked with various materials with my clients. We can choose a set number of sessions to focus on 1 or 2 particular issues you’d like to tackle, or I can guide a more exploratory open-ended therapy. I welcome clients of all faith, age, cultural background, and orientation.
I offer Skype, FaceTime, Zoom and telephone counselling.
And each Thursday between 8am and 11am I am offering free of charge / donation Covid-19 emergency clinic: Ad hoc sessions as long or short as you need on first call first served basis. Please, leave your name and number if I cannot answer, and I will call you back when I can.
