About me and my therapy practice

I am a psychotherapeutic counsellor who practices an Integrative Approach. I believe in utilising the valuable contributions made by various schools of counselling rather than being limited by one approach. This means I can offer a flexible and caring approach to each individual and their unique needs.

I specialise in working with individuals or couples who may come for support for various reasons, including relationship issues, stress, anxiety, and dealing with low esteem and low self-worth, which impact their self-confidence. I also have extensive experience working with survivors of Domestic abuse.

I believe in working with clients to help them empower themselves, be confident in their identities, and embrace their authentic selves.

I have extensive experience working with diverse communities and an understanding of other cultures. This is particularly important when working therapeutically, as one needs to be sensitive to others' beliefs, ethnicity, and culture.

I have more recently trained as a Life and Wellness coach. If you feel "stuck" in your present life, whether in a job, relationship or situation, you may benefit from discussing goals to help you achieve a more satisfactory outcome.

I specialise in Divorce coaching as I have gained extensive knowledge of the judicial process involving family law through my ten years of experience as a court translator before training as a coach.

Life and wellness coaching has grown to be a hugely successful form of talking therapy to the extent that it has helped turn people's lives around.

I offer open-ended counselling as well as short-term and focused therapy. I am fluent in Urdu, Punjabi, and Hindi in addition to English and can offer sessions to those who feel more comfortable communicating in their mother tongue.

About me and my therapy practice

Life is full of ups and downs, and during difficult times, it may feel. However, this does not need to be the case, as one can get support and understanding through counselling.

People may seek counselling for different reasons. For example, you may approach counselling if you are finding it hard to cope with the pressures of work or family life. You could also approach counselling if you have lost a loved one or are having relationship difficulties.

Counselling provides a safe, confidential space in which your thoughts and feelings can be voiced, heard and explored with another without the fear of being judged or being offered advice. It allows you the space to make sense of your situation. Talking about your thoughts, feelings, and worries can help clarify the issue(s) troubling you. This is all part of the process of counselling, which can help you feel less burdened and isolated and more supported and accepted.
