About me and my therapy practice
I am both a registered psychotherapist and psychologist who works using an integrated model to therapy. My approach is strongly influenced by the values and principles of both psychoanalytic/relational and person-centred therapy. I am able to offer cognitive-behavioural based interventions, if appropriate, and can provide a creative environment in which to work therapeutically with all age groups.
I place a great emphasis on providing individuals with a safe environment in which they can be empowered to explore their difficulties and realise unused resources. I use various techniques in my work including mindfulness-based relaxation and trauma-based body awareness to help individuals with coping strategies and develop a positive sense of self and identity.
My aim is to provide you with a safe and confidential space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts and concerns with a qualified professional. If you have a specific issue you want to explore and work through, or you want to feel empowered or perhaps you are interested in looking at your problems from a different perspective, then I can help.
I firmly believe that therapy should be flexible to the needs of the client and encourage an open dialogue with my clients to find out what they need from therapy.
