About me and my therapy practice

With a BA in Psychology from Skidmore College, New York and an MSc in Mental Health Psychological Therapies from Queen Mary University of London, psychotherapy has been the bedrock of my education and experiences.

Influenced by diverse international experiences, I have gained a comprehensive understanding of culture, relationships and transitional life changes, and their impact on our mental health.

As an employee of the NHS, working in a community mental health team has solidified my knowledge of mental health diagnoses, treatment and risk management. I work closely with patients diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, suicidality, depression and anxiety.

I have also worked as a psychotherapist in a variety of centres across London. I am experienced in working with individuals with depression and anxiety, low self-esteem and self-worth, relational difficulties, anger, fear, shame, guilt and stress management. I am able to offer both long term and short term treatment plans, tailored to the individual needs of the client.

I am an integrative psychotherapist working in private practice at The Awareness Centre in Clapham. I am registered with the the BACP. My other qualifications include a certificate in humanistic and integrative counselling and a certificate in schema therapy.

Practice description

I believe in creating a safe environment for the client to comfortably explore their thoughts and feelings, guiding the individual to develop a better understanding of themselves and their behaviours.

Ensuring that the client is met with acceptance and warmth, I draw upon a range of skills and techniques to utilise an integrative approach, incorporating CBT, schema, psychodynamic, solution focused and person-centred therapies as well as mindfulness based interventions.

I aspire to equip clients with the tools to help make the difference to their everyday lives, eventually able to reach a place of comfort from the awareness and understanding achieved during their time together.

My first session

I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation for us to learn a little bit about each other. We will explore what has brought you into therapy and what you would like to achieve from it. You will also have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have and if I am the right therapist for you we will proceed accordingly.
