About me and my therapy practice
I am a qualified Humanistic-Integrative Counsellor with experience in the NHS and in community organisations. I am currently providing counselling for parents and carers of children with ASD in a specialist Neurodiversity charity.
We all have our own unique stories which can shape how we see ourselves and the world around us. Everyone faces challenges at some point in their lives which can impact on our mental wellbeing. I offer one to one counselling to work through your concerns in a warm and non-judgemental space which will be safe and confidential.
I am passionate about working inclusively with people of all walks of life and backgrounds, Whether you have had counselling before or are new to therapy I am dedicated to working with you.
I will gently invite you to bring your whole self into the work. By talking and thinking about the different parts of your life and by exploring your relationships, unconscious themes and patterns may emerge. Therapy can be empowering and enable us to consider different perspectives and create shifts towards achieving a more healthier and balanced life.
Counselling and You
- At times do you find yourself unable to cope? Have you found that you feel unconnected, lost and overwhelmed?
- Have you had to deal with an accumulation of difficulties
- Have you experienced a life-changing event recently or in your past?
- Or would you like a space just for you to talk to a trained practitioner who will pay attention to what you have to say without feeling judged?
Whatever your challenges are, there are many ways that I will work with you to help you to better understand and think about your story. Only you know your story and only you can tell it. I am here to listen, to support, and to explore with you.
As a Humanistic-Integrative Counsellor means my practice is informed by a range of theories that will depend on what will work best for you.
My approach is transcultural, this is an exploration into the unconscious impact of culture on emotions, thoughts and behaviours. This allows you to bring their own unique experience, history and narrative into the process which can lead to self-awareness and a deeper insight into your personal story.
