About me and my therapy practice

Hello, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.

Perhaps counselling is something you might not previously have considered. Maybe you feel your life has changed as a result of Covid, and are wondering how to move forward. It's really important to find a counsellor that suits your needs, and above all someone that you feel comfortable with. I hope that this information in my listing might help you with that decision.

I see each client as being unique, and  use a range of different approaches to support you, and the issues you might bring. I have experience of counselling adults and children/ young people with a range different issues, on a long or short term basis. This includes working within a university counselling service, a YMCA youth counselling service, primary schools, and for a community based counselling service. I currently work as a secondary school counsellor alongside my private practice.

To finish off my profile, I would like to share with you a quote from the American psychologist Carl Rogers. 'The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.'

Practice description

My practice is located in the Eden Valley in North Cumbria within easy reach of Carlisle, Penrith, Brampton, Northumberland and Southern Scotland. I am a humanistic/person centred trained counsellor.
