About me and my therapy practice
Thank you from looking at my profile, I am an experienced counsellor, and work with both adults and children. I gained my Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling in 2002. I see each client as being unique, and therefore use a range of different approaches appropriate to the needs of the individual client. Having had experience of counselling myself, I recognise what a brave step booking your first counselling session can be. I work with each client to explore how I can best support you, and the issues you might bring to counselling. I provide a safe space and the opportunity for you to talk about the things that matter most to you.
I have experience of counselling adults and children/ young people with a range different issues, on a long or short term basis. This includes working within a university counselling service, a YMCA youth counselling service, primary schools, and for a community based counselling service.
My practice is located in the Eden Valley in North Cumbria within easy reach of Carlisle, Penrith, Brampton, and Southern Scotland. I am a humanistic/person centred trained counsellor.
