About me and my therapy practice
I have been in practice in the NHS for a number of years. My last role was as a senior therapist, therapist supervisor and team manager for a large London Trust. Many years of practice and experience means I can draw on an eclectic mix of modalities to best suit the individual's needs. I am happy to offer a time limited approach if there are specific goals in mind but also work long term with many clients depending on need.
My approaches include, psychotherapy, counselling, coaching and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Each intervention is uniquely formulated to meet the individual's needs. I review regularly and ask that you feedback any comments throughout therapy.
I see clients face to face as well as remotely via a variety of secure digital media platforms. The practice is on the ground floor for anyone with mobility issues.
There are times where others maybe invited to join a session if we agree additional support would be helpful. This would ONLY be arranged if there is a strong case and total agreement
One of the most important consideration is confidentiality. All communication will be encrypted where possible and all personal details, where there is a need to store, will be on secure data base provided by the same company used in NHS primary care.
I am happy to discuss and elaborate if needed
My first session
The first session is usually 90 minutes. This allows time to assess the presenting issue, check suitability of approach offered and most importantly, check compatibility.
The corner stone of any meaningful and successful therapy is trust, feeling safe.
If agreed, we should be able to arrange the next few sessions with a review to assess that therapy is useful and the relationship is working well.
I will ask that you review the therapy contract and you are happy with the terms of confidentiality, cancellation policy and each others responsibility etc.
