About me and my therapy practiceDo you sometimes feel that the family patterns are difficult to break away from? Do you feel you are making the same mistakes or picking the same type of partner? Have you experienced recent loss: of a job, a significant person or relationship? Do you have days where even getting out of bed feels as difficult as climbing Mount Everest?
Exploration through counselling can bring new light and understanding to questions and promotes healthy change. Clients say they find me to be open, supportive and approachable and I have a passion for working with diversity.
During my years of professional practice I have developed a deep understanding of the struggles people face in their lives, allowing me to listen to their stories openly and without judging. People have dark corners in their lives that need the light of understanding. I am here to listen, to support and to help you find your own path through.
I'm an experienced counsellor and have worked in both private practice and within various organisations providing clinical and psychological support services. My experience includes dealing effectively and sensitively with vulnerable adults and children, and extensive training and experience working with parents and specialise in Autism. I have worked in palliative care and bereavement counselling, and have many years supervised practice of counselling via the telephone.

About me and my therapy practice
In training I use a diplomatic, inclusive approach often appearing lasse faire and always person centred/led. I offer interactive exercises to facilitate learning and believe in the ideology of "Tell me and I may forget, show me and I remember, involve me and I understand".
I'm presently facilitating a parent support group through a private children's clinic .
A one day CPD training will facilitate participants to explore what autism is, reflect on it's history and how it affects individuals and families plus explore effective counselling and support for individuals and families. This is aimed at therapists and people supporting individuals and families where there has been a diagnosis of autism. Please email me to find out more or to express an interest
