About me and my therapy practice
I hold and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and am a Registered and Accredited Member of the BACP with ten years experience of counselling. I previously worked as a Registered General Nurse for more than two decades.
Taking the first step towards seeking support can be difficult in itself, it is therefore important to me that my clients feel relaxed in my company which helps towards developing a supportive and trusting, therapeutic relationship.
I am interested in supporting couples and individuals alike, bringing together my life experiences, professional work and studies and a deep interest in mental health. I am fascinated by how we relate to one another and the impact that life's challenges can have on our resilience within our relationships, including with ourselves.
I am curious to hear about your inner world and believe that you have the capacity to be guided by your own wisdom. Counselling can help raise awareness of patterns, themes and behaviors in your life which in turn, facilitates sustainable changes or acceptance of your situation going forward.
Outside of my private practice, I work as an Oncology Counsellor for Force, Exeters' local charity (since 2013) where I co-facilitate groups, as well as work with individuals and couples.
