About me and my therapy practice
My focus is you, my client or patient, and how I can best be of help to you. Some clients are looking for more guidance and others less so and want to have the opportunity to speak without being interrupted. Together we are working out how you like to be helped.
I have long experience working in both private practice and primary care settings in the NHS, with time-limited therapy as well as open-ended therapy. Some of my clients, I see via video link, or telephone, so that we can maintain continued contact and continuity.
I look forward to welcoming you to our collaborative work and am happy to answer any questions you have. A chat over the phone initially is sometimes of help, and I encourage you to make contact they way you see fit.
Nowadays I offer virtual talking therapy for the most part, that is via video link. In my experience having visual input as well as audio input is a more fulfilling experience than simply over the phone. I am flexible and will suggest to you what I think is most appropriate.
My first session
The first meeting with a new therapist can be worrying perhaps. I will make sure that you know what is going on and provide structure and balance so that you feel free to express yourself and what is concerning you.
I welcome all your questions and there is no area that is out of bounds.
