Availability

The majority of my availability is Monday to Friday 9am till 5pm.

I offer regular evening slots on a Monday and Tuesday but spaces are limited. I also provide occasional ad hoc sessions on other weekday evenings which can be negotiated at the point of contracting.

All sessions are a standard 50 minutes and will be charged at a daytime rate of £60 or an evening rate of £70.  I do offer a few concessionary places on a case by case basis.

Treatment for PTSD will be charged at a different rate of £80 per session with a requirement to make an initial commitment of 10 sessions. A deposit of 50% will be required with the remainder to be paid over the course of the sessions. The difference in rate is to reflect the complex nature of trauma work and the minimum number of sessions is to ensure that clients are worked with in a safe manner that does not lead to re-traumatisation.

I only work weekends in cases of emergency but I do also make provision for my clients to email me between sessions. Please enquire for further details about this.

Practice description

My academic, vocational and personal experiences have led me to develop a broad and holistic view of mental health. I believe that the body, mind, emotions and spirit form a symbiotic system. Working with each of these aspects of self produces the most profound and enduring transformations.

At the core of my approach to therapy is the belief that mental illness, and physical illness, holds meaning which needs to be uncovered in a safe and respectful manner. I believe that every human being is naturally wise, self governing and intuitive. Therapy should be a process which calls you back to your most authentic self.

I work in a very relaxed manner and prefer to be client led. I believe that establishing a safe and mutually respectful relationship is the foundation of good therapeutic outcomes. I offer a confidential, GDPR compliant space and have full insurance.

I offer other means of support to my clients outside of the sessions such as information sheets and worksheets, videos, podcasts and links to other professionals as feels appropriate. I also offer my client's the opportunity to email me between sessions if they want to share something with me or if something difficult crops up. I don't offer therapeutic responses in writing but I will read and respond where necessary.

My first session

Consultation sessions are charged at £30 and typically last for around 30 minutes.

In that session we will discuss what brings you to therapy at this point in time; what you want to achieve from therapy; any previous experience of therapy. You will have the opportunity to ask me any questions you might have and we will collaboratively decide if we should work together.
