About me and my therapy practice

Hello,

I’m Jackie, an experienced psychotherapist with over two decades of clinical expertise.

My therapeutic approach is firmly grounded in Attachment Theory, which serves as the foundation for integrating various creative techniques such as hypnotherapy, Focussing, and Depth Oriented Brief Therapy.

Utilizing this blend of methodologies provides me with a diverse set of skills to comprehensively explore the origins of your emotions (depth therapy) and actively address and transform self-sabotaging or unhelpful behavioural patterns (solution-focused).

My goal is to facilitate your journey to feeling better safely and swiftly, while ensuring that the transformation is profound and enduring.

Currently, I exclusively offer online sessions. Wherever you are in the world, I can help.

The people who come to see me experience a wide range of concerns, including:

  • feeling stuck in repetitive patterns
  • Stress and burnout
  • struggling with depression or anxiety
  • difficulties with significant relationships
  • questioning sexuality
  • considering leaving a religious or faith based group
  • grieving a significant loss
  • a trauma or traumatic events
  • adapting to lifecycle changes like leaving home, marriage, children, death, ageing parents, or illness
  • identity or self-definition questions after adoption or divorce
  • adapting to a Digital Nomad lifestyle, moving countries or relocating
  • Unblocking creative stickiness
  • the emotional battle with weight and body image

If you are experiencing any of these challenges, I will be pleased to help you. I also work with many concerns that aren't included in this list. Do feel free to ask me if your concern is not listed above.

Practice description

I believe in a collaborative and empowering therapeutic relationship, where we work together to understand the underlying factors influencing your well-being. My goal is to facilitate a swift and profound transformation, ensuring that the changes you experience are not only lasting but also deeply impactful.

In my practice, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental space where your concerns are met with empathy and expertise. Whether you're seeking to navigate through challenging life transitions, manage stress, or enhance your overall mental health, I am here to support you.

My first session

If this is your first experience of psychotherapy, you might find the idea of talking about yourself a little daunting. So I invite you to schedule a free 15 minute initial consultation session so you can see how it feels.

You can ask any relevant questions you might have about how therapy can help you or about how I work. And importantly, the consultation will give us the chance to see if we are a "good fit", that is, whether we feel comfortable working together.
