About me and my therapy practice

I am a warm, friendly and experienced counsellor and psychotherapist. I provide a safe and confidential space for you to explore whatever issues you are facing in your life. Making the decision to see a therapist, can feel daunting. My person-centred approach means that I work with you as an individual and will accept and respect whatever you bring to therapy and work with you in a non-judgemental and empathic way.

If you are struggling emotionally, feeling low, worried or overwhelmed with aspects of your life, counselling could be helpful to you. Speaking to a therapist is different to speaking to friends or family. I will listen to you attentively and help you to hear and notice things about yourself which may have been on the edge of your awareness. The therapeutic process can help you to develop coping strategies and a greater understanding of self that can ultimately lead to growth and change in your life.

I am a fully qualified, BACP-registered counsellor and psychotherapist with experience working for charitable organisations, NHS funded therapy and in private practice. I work at the Didsbury Counselling & Therapy Centre and for Gaddum (an organisation offering NHS talking therapies services in Manchester).

I have experience working with clients from a range of age groups and backgrounds and working with issues including self esteem, depression, anxiety, stress, abuse, relationship difficulties, loss and trauma.
