About me and my therapy practice

Here at Resilience Counselling my mission is to provide a premium service for all your emotional health and well-being needs, from individual, confidential psychotherapy to specific personal therapeutic courses designed to address needs such as excessive worry and anxiety.

Feeling Stuck?

If you are feeling unhappy, worried, anxious, depressed, distressed or stuck it can be helpful to talk it through with a psychotherapist; a person who is trained to listen and support you in working through troubling or difficult emotions.

"How Do I Get Through This?"

Sometimes we just don’t know why we feel the way we do, but we know that we want change to occur. If you are asking yourself, “How do I get through this?” it can be valuable to talk to someone who will listen without judging; someone who can work alongside you to explore your feelings and personal experiences and help you understand them or make the changes you are wishing for.

It Is Not Always Easy To Share How We Are Feeling

It is not always easy to talk about what is happening, or has happened, in your life; counselling sessions offer help to enable you to get in touch with and build on your inner resources and strength, facilitating you to manage life more effectively.

Feeling Heard Can Be The First Step Towards Change

If you feel safe, secure, respected and valued, you are more likely to be in a position to explore your inner feelings and thoughts. A counsellor will not judge or tell you what to do but may on occasions give information or offer suggestions. During therapy, you may choose to work towards personal goals and your experience of therapy will be regularly reviewed with you, in this way your therapy will be tailored to your individual needs.
