About me and my therapy practice
I provide a warm, sensitive, confidential and safe environment where people can talk about their difficulties large or small. As a Person Centred Therapist I do not give advice but believe each person is unique and have the resources within themselves to move forward, finding their own solutions. Often there can be difficult feelings and experiences which can have a negative impact on our lives. As we journey together we can explore those feelings and through empowerment and self-growth work towards positive change.
I have worked as a Counsellor at the Macmillan Centre at Trafford General Hospital supporting those who are bereaved or have a life limiting illness, the NHS in Primary Care Psychology Services and for a charity for people Seeking Asylum and Refugees who are survivors of torture.
As a former Registered Nurse I have over 35 years experience of working in the NHS primarily in General Practice. This experience has given me great insight and awareness into the relationship between emotional, physical and spiritual well-being and the impact each area can have on our lives. I endeavour to work holistically, an approach that takes into account the links between emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
I operate within 5 minutes of walking distance of the town centre of Urmston which has good rail and public transport links. There is ample street parking.
I look forward to hearing from you.
