About me and my therapy practice
I offer you a calm and safe space to explore any emotional distress you may be feeling within a confidential, non-judgemental and empathic environment. Together we will build a positive and supportive alliance which is honest and respectful.
I became a person centred counsellor as a result of my own life experiences and a belief that we are the experts of ourselves to find the answers to the issues that we may be struggling with. My approach to therapy is based firmly on this.
I have worked on a voluntary basis with Macmillan and within the NHS specialising in bereavement, grief and living with life limiting illness and within private practise working with a wide range of emotional distress areas as listed below.
I also have a detailed understanding and experience of the challenges people face with ASD, both with those on the spectrum and those who may be in a caring role and how it impacts on the wider family / friends. Prior to this I worked within HR as a CIPD HR professional / Trainer
I offer a reduced fee for the initial meeting as it is important that you feel comfortable going forward that you have found the right counsellor for you. Should you wish to book for further sessions we can do this at the end of the first appointment.
If you would like to know a little more about what to expect you are most welcome to get in touch to ask any questions or concerns about how counselling might help you.
