About me and my therapy practice
I’m Tom Buckland, an Independent, BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Couple Counsellor, based in Hythe near Southampton, and I also offer remote sessions. I’ve been helping people through difficult times since 2003 and specialise in providing Couple Counselling (once know as marriage guidance counselling or relationship counselling) as well as working with Anxiety and Trauma. I often work in a solution focused way, helping someone overcome their issue and move to better place as soon as they can, but also work with longer-term psychotherapy to allow a person the time and space they need.
Practice description
I work with individuals and co-run The Relationship Centre (www.therelationshipcentre.org.uk) This is face to face at the Amara Clinic and I also offer remote sessions and work with people around the UK and many areas in Europe and Scandinavia. When you contact me I can explain how we set up the first session and any details around this.
My first session
When you decide to book the first session, I will email you all the details you need and then we can discuss how the counselling will be best for you in the first session.

I offer supervision to counsellors and trainees, in a humanistic model, using all my 18 years of experience. I work with one-to-one supervision or a group of 2, and this can be booked at a 1 hour slots
I also offer supervision via Zoom/Skype
I also offer a free 20-30min phone call if you want to see if I'm the right person for you.
