About me and my therapy practice
I am a Registered Senior Accredited Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor.
I work with general issues and in addition to this I have a special interest and experience of working with bereavement, life limiting illness, anyone affected by cancer this includes patients, carers, children and families, friends and colleagues etc.
Other areas of working as a Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor - an established Private Practice for over 22yrs - Main stream and SEND Schools - a Cancer Support Centre - a Hospice - various charities - asbestos related illness, Childrens Charity working with families, supervise counsellors who work in schools in as a Counsellor and Clinical Supervisor.
I am affiliated to Health Professional organisations and EAP programs. My work involves counselling Adults, Children, Young People, Families, Relationships and Couples.
I hold a qualification in Clinical Supervision and supervise qualified practitioners, students and other Health Professionals.
My first session
The initial assessment/consultation session is for us to discuss and identify the issues you would like to explore. We would together agree a time and day for ongoing sessions if we both decided that counselling is the best way forward.
There is no obligation to continue past this stage. In this initial session we are able to get to know each other and you will have the opportunity to ask questions. I will take notes which include general information such as contact details etc - this will be explained in full at our first meeting.
It is my intention for you to experience a confidential, non judgemental therapeutic relationship where you feel safe and heard, being able to understand life issues and make positive changes.
