About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative relational therapist working in Central London. Clients come to therapy with me for a wide range of reasons. As an integrative therapist, the way that I work depends on who I am working with: each person, and every relationship, is different. Drawing from a variety of therapeutic practices, I tailor my approach to you, and your needs.
Put briefly, I offer the following: a safe, confidential, and accepting space to explore whatever you are facing. Although it may be a cliche, experience tells me that therapy is very much like a journey that we begin together, and also one with yourself. This journey offers you a chance to feel supported in gaining understanding, in finding, or re-finding your centre, and an opportunity to reconnect with your inner resources.
You may not be clear on your reasons for seeking therapy, and for some, therapy can feel like a strange option to be considering. It is entirely normal to feel these things, and any concerns you have, including those about therapy, are welcome too!
I have continually been encouraged by the change my clients have experienced in their lives through therapy: predominantly through healthier, more authentic relationships with themselves and others.
My first session
Finding the right therapist can feel daunting, and I am happy to talk briefly on the phone if you feel this would be helpful in making your decision. That said, an initial session tends to be the most helpful way of us getting a sense of how we might work together.
As with all sessions, initial sessions are 50 minutes long. I offer these at a reduced rate of £50. Fees thereafter are £65+ depending on time of day and affordability. I am at times able to offer some lower-cost spaces. If you feel you will need this please ask. I rely on the income from clients who are able to pay full rates, in order to offer the lower-cost spaces to those who are not able to afford that. It works on trust that clients will honour this.
If we decide to work together, sessions are usually at the same time, on the same day each week. I tend to work in an open-ended way, but can also offer some shorter-term work. If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.
