Sometimes we feel that life just isn’t going as we’d wish. I can help you get back on track.
Maybe you want to relate better to other people, break familiar patterns, or deal with anxiety, depression, loss or trauma. Or maybe you’re looking to grow, change or feel more whole as a person. Working with me can help you connect with all the different parts of yourself, with your values, your spirituality maybe, and with other people and with the planet. For me, finding this peaceful connectedness is what therapy is all about.
And, if spending time in nature appeals to you, we can work outdoors as well as indoors, since my practice is located in a gloriously beautiful, peaceful spot where we can do both.
I’m a therapist with over twenty years' experience working with clients in different ways, including psychotherapy, coaching and group facilitation. My initial psychotherapy training was in Gestalt and I’ve added an Ecotherapy flavour to that basic grounding. There are more details on my website.
HOW I WORK
For me, therapy is about finding a way to live life to the fullest. I’m optimistic about the possibility of growth and healing and I take a holistic view.
Since any issues affect us in the present, my main focus is the here-and-now. So as we work, I'll help you bring your awareness to your emotions, your bodily sensations, your breathing, or to memories of the past – all as they emerge in the present moment. I'll support you to try out new ways of being and doing, so that you're left with a better insight into how you're stuck and with the skills needed to change.
