About me and my therapy practice

Do you feel anxious, worried or depressed? Do you struggle with low self-esteem? Are unhelpful thoughts causing you to remain in a cycle of unwanted behaviour and negatively affecting your life?  I will work closely alongside you and am committed to supporting and enabling you to look at these issues in a confidential environment. Your thoughts and feelings will be valued and respected. I offer a supportive, empathetic and confidential relationship where we will explore your situation together and discuss changes that you would like to make.

I work with young people and adults and love and enjoy my work.  Clients have described me as accepting, warm, encouraging and empathetic.  Alongside my private work I am also School Counsellor for St Nicholas' School, Fleet and a young person's Counsellor for the Family Counselling Trust, Hampshire.

I am very happy to offer walking sessions and welcome taking our work into the great outdoors. Confined spaces can be difficult for some and living on the South Downs offers a huge space for expression, nature, mindfulness and calm reflection. If this is something that might appeal to you when thinking about counselling please mention it to me!

Having been lucky enough to specialise in work with young people I now work within my private practice, and for two local charities, with people from 12 years. Young people face enormous pressures in this fast-paced modern world - it can often feel full of rules but with unclear boundaries. Being given the chance to be supported by someone who is not connected to home, school, university can be both beneficial and empowering and can remove a lot of pressure.  I can work creatively and offer a range of tools for this work.

As part of my professional and ethical responsibility, I am committed to ongoing training, regular supervision (a requirement for BACP members), and practicing good self-care.
