About me and my therapy practice
If you're struggling to get through each day because you're being hijacked by anxiety and panic attacks, laid low with depression, or simply feeling confused or misunderstood, this may be a good time to seek counselling.
We tend to think and behave in habitual ways, so much so, that it's easy to think that even long-term depression or anxiety is "just me". In fact, even our most deeply held beliefs and common reactions (such as "it's always my fault") are learned responses. Which means that they can be changed.
The counselling process offers a way to disentangle the difficulties you may be experiencing, so that troubling symptoms (such as panic attacks) may be understood and no longer necessary. In addition, by exploring the challenges you experience today, it's possible to use this time to shed old beliefs and find new ways of experiencing the world and responding to people, events and everyday life.
My counselling room is in central Ipswich, and offers a relaxed setting in which to talk about the things that really matter to you. I work collaboratively with each of my clients, listening carefully to them as we explore their unique lives and challenges, to make sure that no part of them feels ignored, unheard or misunderstood, so that they can gain a greater sense of self, calm, and confidence.
