About me and my therapy practice

Are you feeling low or depressed, or experiencing anxiety or stress? You may be grieving for the loss of a loved one, a marriage, job or relationship, and feel lost, scared or confused. You may be struggling with your health, or in your role as a carer. Exam stress and bullying in work or in education can be devastating. You may feel overwhelmed. If this sounds familiar, then I may be able to support you explore these issues.

Why me? I work in a person-centred way. This means I work alongside you to explore your thoughts and feelings. I won’t tell you what to do, or judge you. I am here to listen, and help you work through distressing emotions. Counselling can give you clarity, gaining the confidence you need to move forward. It’s not easy, but working in a safe and confidential environment will help you work through these painful experiences.

I work within the BACP ethical framework, providing a safe, confidential and trusting space in which to explore challenging emotions. Previous clients have described me as warm, accepting, approachable, caring, friendly and trustworthy.

It’s never easy to explore things that hurt, confuse or scare us. In the first session, we will discuss how we will work together. Ask as many questions as you need to help you decide. I have comfortable rooms in Rodney street, Liverpool.

If you are interested in beginning the journey to becoming a stronger and happier you, in a safe and confidential environment then please contact me. If you leave a voicemail or send an email, I will reply within 24 hours. I am happy to answer any questions. Alternatively, you can request an appointment for an initial consultation.

Practice description

My current practice offers face to face sessions in Rodney Street, which is part of the Harley Street, London, group. If preferable, I also offer sessions online. I do not work with couples, or at the weekends at present.

In Rodney Street, there is a welcoming reception, along with a comfortable waiting area if you are early. My office is on the second floor and if stairs are challenging, the building has a small lift.

Due to guidelines around Covid, we request you wear a mask as you enter the property and use the hand sanitiser offered around the building. We also ask you to maintain the 2 metre distancing advice.

My first session

In the first session, I will explain how we may work together. It will give you the opportunity to ask questions and for both of us to decide if I am the right therapist for you.

I will discuss issues such as confidentiality, and if you are happy, I will ask you to sign a counselling agreement and a data protection policy. This is in line with ethical working outlined in the BACP ethical framework.

As the first session consists of us assessing if this is the right therapy for you, the fee is at £50. Subsequent sessions are £60.
