About me and my therapy practice
You might be looking for support around a specific issue, or perhaps wanting to make a change. You might even not even be able to put your finger on it, but something just feels wrong and life isn’t working for you.
Counselling is an opportunity for you to reconnect with yourself, to develop a greater awareness of your thoughts and feelings, make sense of things, resolve conflicts and most importantly feel empowered to live a life of your own design.
I bring myself to my practice which means I work with integrity, honesty and respect. I aim to provide you with a safe and open environment, filled with support, compassion and understanding so that you are given freedom to explore whatever you feel is needed.
The way in which I work is integratively, this means that I have been trained in a range of counselling techniques and different theories, thereby allowing me to respond to each client’s individuality by choosing the most effective therapies to meet their specific needs.
I am also trained in therapeutic coaching and how it can be integrated with counselling, which means that I can use approaches and techniques that support clients who wish to make positive changes in their life as a result of the work we do together.
Central to any 1-1 practice is the collaboration of the two involved. It is therefore very important that you feel comfortable with the counsellor you choose. I invite all potential clients for an initial consultation as a way to help you decide whether you feel I am the right person for you and whether I feel I can offer you what you need. You are welcome to come along to an initial session with no obligation to continue.
