About me and my therapy practice

Making the decision to have Counselling can be difficult and finding the right Therapist for you can feel overwhelming.  I work Intergatively, which means I combine a range of different theories and techniques to meet the needs of the Client. I trained initially in the Psychodynamic model, which means I am interested in how our childhood experiences affect us in our adult life and how we defend against painful experiences, often in unhealthy ways. I have extensive experience working with clients who have experienced Sexual and Domestic abuse and the issues that  surround this such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, addiction, relationship difficulties and eating disorders. I am a qualified Trainer and teach Counselling to student Counsellors.  I am warm, honest and believe that the quality of the relationship between the Counsellor and the Client is the most important thing.
