About me and my therapy practice
Please visit my website for information about my practice and how to book sessions.
I am a qualified integrative counsellor (Humanistic Integrative) and a registered member of the BACP.
I believe the key to successful therapy is the relationship between client and therapist. I work in a warm, empathetic and non-judgemental way, creating a safe and confidential space for you to explore emotional difficulty. I can help you become more confident, autonomous and comfortable with yourself and in relationships, allowing you to discover your authentic self.
Beginning counselling can be frankly a daunting and unappealing journey to undertake. You may be feeling lost, distressed, low, isolated, out of control or just have the feeling you’re not living life how you want to. It can be tempting to just plough on and hope things get better. Counselling can help process difficult life experiences from the past or present, open up different perspectives, and most importantly, be a safe place for you to talk and be heard.
I am an integrated counsellor. My training comprised of different modalities so I can tailor my approach to your needs. I primarily work with the person-centred, psychodynamic and behavioural approaches. Counselling can be short term (4-12 sessions), long term (over an agreed period of time) or open ended.
If you would like to make an initial appointment, please contact me by email or phone and we will meet at my practice at an agreed time. We will talk through your concerns and decide together whether moving forward with me feels right for you. If you choose to continue, we will decide on a regular time slot to meet each week and the number of sessions you would like. An initial consultation is a one-off meeting with no obligation to continue.
