About me and my therapy practice
Throughout my professional life, I have been working within an NHS in-patient unit for the Children and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) and continue to work in this area.
I have a wide range of experience in mental health, providing assessment and intervention for children and young people on a 1:1 basis to deal with their complex mental health disorders.
I am a qualified psychotherapeutic counselor trained in Transactional Analysis. Also, I will apply an integrative approach such as CBT/DBT/Mindfulness skills and other evidence-based tools when formulating care and treatment plan in a systemic way, based on the children and young people’s individual needs.
I have been working closely with children and young people under the age of 25, who have experienced or witnessed trauma and prolonged stressors, providing them with the support they need cognitively and psychologically.
I can, therefore, assist the children, young people, and their families to bring positive changes to their life, in managing their emotions, thoughts, behaviours, and relationships effectively by skillfully developing a sense of responsibility and meaningful life.
