About me and my therapy practice
Hi, my name is Ruth and I work as a therapist in Brighton. I have 17years of experience working with couples and individuals. I am a qualified Psychosexual and Relationship therapist. My areas of work include, Relationship problems, Problems with sex, intimacy and sexual dysfunction caused by physical injury, surgery and illness or anxiety, past abuse or bad life experience such as, loss of confidence after a relationship breakdown.
I can sometimes offer home visits to people with mobility issues.
I also work with,
pre-bereavement issues, difficulties for couples or individuals coming to terms with a terminal illness or struggling to maintain relationships during a terminal illness.
Bereavement and loss
I work with individuals with long term mental health issues who are stable, but struggling with anxiety , social phobia or similar problems.

About me and my therapy practice
I am an integrative supervisor,this means that I use ideas and thinking from more than one theoretical perspective.
I encourage supervisees to discuss their work fully and to think creatively about their clients.
I offer advice and guidance when needed.
I encourage supervisees to develop their self awareness and to keep adding to their skills.
I feel that my job is to:

- - Use my experience to give the best support I can
- - Keep my own training up to date in order to be informative and useful
- - To be helpful if difficult situations arise
I currently work in private practice with couples and individuals. I work with clients presenting with a wide range of problems including, relationship issues, anxiety, depression grief, long term illness and bereavement. I am a qualified Psychosexual therapist and I work with clients suffering from various dysfunctions.
I also work with Cancer patients and their partners and with people who have spinal injury or other mobility problems.
