About me and my therapy practice

Have you come to the point where you need a helping hand from a trained professional? I am a BACP registered Counsellor specialising in helping people who have been abused in some way.

Are you suffering with the long term impacts of past relationships? I am systemically trained which means that I will work with you as an individual, whilst considering your place within your social and family networks.

Are you finding that life is one problem after another? I will work in an integrative manner with you, meaning that I will draw from a wide range of theoretical ideas in order to help you achieve your aims. I’m of the opinion that one size definitely doesn’t fit all, so will tailor my approach to you as we go along. It is my aim to help you build a toolbox of coping skills which will aid your own growth and personal development.

I am passionate about my work with people who have been abused. I work within the BACP Ethical Framework and will work with you to help you through this difficult process which can include self-harm, guilt, self-loathing and blame and suicidal feelings.

I am continually working towards Continuing Professional Development. I also have a diploma in “Engaging with adults who have been sexually abused” and am now working towards accreditation with the BACP.

I will use my experience to help you with what is concerning you. Although I specialise in the area of abuse, I have extensive experience of working with issues such as anger, panic, depression, anxiety, stress, OCD, negative thinking patterns and addictions.

Asking for help is a strength not a weakness – so please do not hesitate to contact me.
