About me and my therapy practice

I am currently offering face to face counselling and online counselling using the software package Zoom. Please get in touch if you would like further information.

Are you looking for emotional support? Do you need space to talk? Are you struggling with life changes?

I am a qualified, fully insured and experienced counsellor, working in private practice in Cleckheaton (Bradford) and Morley (Leeds). I offer emotional support to adults who feel challenged by anxiety, relationships issues, bereavement, loss or grief, so if you need space to talk or are struggling with life changes, I may be able to help. The aim of our sessions is to help you have a better understanding of yourself, and to work through issues to enable a happier and more settled life. I understand first hand that life can feel overwhelming and confusing and that it can be difficult to reach out for help.

I work from a person centred approach, putting you and your individual experiences at the heart of what we do and offer a safe, non-judgemental environment that will support you to find your own solutions and strengths.

I work from two counselling rooms, both have free parking:

Cleckheaton The Yorkshire Therapy Rooms, Dewsbury Road

Archbold Business Centre, Albert Road, Morley close to J27 of M62.

Practice description

I offer both short-term counselling and more in-depth, on-going flexible counselling support. To provide you with an opportunity to meet me and ask any questions you may have in the first instance, I offer an initial meeting. This gives us chance to discuss what you hope to get out of counselling and whether I feel like the right person to support you. If you're happy to continue we'll set up a second session and take it from there.

My first session

An important factor in the therapeutic relationship between counsellor and client is the chemistry between them.

How I work is to offer an initial informal meeting which would give you the opportunity to ask any further questions you may have about me and counselling; and us both an opportunity to see how we could work together and what you would want from sessions.

An initial session lasts up to 50 minutes.

What I can help with

Abuse, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Service veterans, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
