About me and my therapy practice

Are you looking for emotional support? Do you need space to talk? Are you struggling with life changes?

I am a qualified, fully insured and experienced counsellor, working in private practice in Drighlington (Bradford) and Ossett (Wakefield). The type of support I offer is helping adults and young adults who feel challenged by anxiety, relationships issues, bereavement, loss or grief, so if you're looking for emotional support, need space to talk or are struggling with life changes, I may be able to help.  The aim of our sessions is to help you have a better understanding of yourself, and to work through issues to enable a happier and more settled life. I understand first hand that life can feel overwhelming and confusing and that it can be difficult to reach out for help.

I work from a person centred approach, putting you and your individual experiences at the heart of what we do and offer a safe, non-judgemental environment that will support you to find your own solutions and strengths.

I offer both short-term counselling and more in-depth, on-going flexible counselling support. To provide you with an opportunity to meet me and ask any questions you may have in the first instance, I offer an initial 30 minute meeting. This gives us chance to discuss what you hope to get out of counselling and whether I feel like the right person to support you.  If you're happy to continue we'll set up a second session and take it from there.

I work from counselling rooms at Drighlington Health Hub (find us on FB@drighealthhub) where there is plenty of free on street parking and just off J27 of the M62.   I also work from counselling rooms at Ossett, one mile from J40 of the M1 motorway, and a five minute walk from Ossett bus station.  The rooms are located in a business centre with a receptionist service and are private and discreet.  There is plenty of free parking available.
