About me and my therapy practice

Do you need someone to hear you? You are unique with a story that deserves to be heard by someone. Each unique story has a unique conclusion. I will explore your story with you and help you gain perspective on your own life bringing you closer to accepting, loving and understanding yourself better so that you can make life choices that will bring you closer to living the life most suited to you.

I will take an individual approach tailoring sessions to your needs.

My aim is to help you be your authentic self and live and cope with the confusion and challenges of the modern world. Everyone has worth and a role to play in the world, be it big or small. Together we can find what role you need to play to have better days.

Practice description

The core of my practice is person-centred allowing you to talk freely and explore your experiences and options without restraint in a calm non-judgemental environment. Once we have established a rapport we can use elements from other modalities like CBT, Compassion Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness techniques to help you find closure, answers, and calm creating a therapy experience that will be unique to you and your needs. I can help you work through any areas of your life that are making you unhappy and having an impact on your self-esteem, self-worth, and relationships.

I have experience specifically in the areas of addiction, bereavement, and the accompanying traumas working with people struggling with these issues themselves and with affected family members.

Other areas of special interest include migration issues and transisions as well as spirituality.

Therapy is delivered in 6 session blocks with a review in session 6 where we decide on the next steps. You can continue 6 session blocks for as long as you wish.

My first session

You will be sent a copy of the contract , additional information about counselling and a short assessment regarding medication, relevant health conditions etc. prior to the first session.

We will go through the contract before you disclose any confidential information which you do not need to commit to until the end of the session.

We will then discuss your situation looking at what your needs are and what you want to get out of the experience.
