About me and my therapy practice
I understand that it takes courage to make that first step and contact a counsellor for help. I will do my best to help you along the journey to feeling better. I can offer you a safe, confidential space whilst we explore your difficulties and find solutions that work for you.
CBT counselling is a non-judgemental, conversation based therapy that equips individuals with a more positive outlook and changes any self-defeating patterns or thought processes. A heightened self-awareness and a renewed feeling of being 'in control' produces significant and life lasting results for you and those around you. As a registered professional counsellor with both BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and also a member of BABCP (British Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapists), I work within their ethical framework for good practice and specialise in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
I offer both short and long term counselling and I can support you as you work through your difficulties and develop coping strategies. I am skilled in working with a range of issues, please see the extensive list below.
