About me and my therapy practice
I am friendly and gentle and have more than 23 years experience of counselling individuals, including 8 years of NHS work.
I am a supervisor of other counsellors and have also been a trainer of counsellors.
I am very experienced in doing assessments, and will direct you elsewhere following an assessment if I do not feel that counselling with me would be your best way forward.
I have a positive, pragmatic approach, working in whatever way best serves the individual client. However, I find that Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) offer helpful strategies in most situations and produce very good outcomes for my clients.
