About me and my therapy practice

I am an integrative counsellor and I believe that counselling helps people to explore, clarify and accept issues that they find difficult to deal with on their own. I offer a non-judgemental, trusting and confidential space for you, which fosters the collaborative work of counselling. An integrative approach means drawing on differing theories to fit my client’s best needs. This usually involves looking at aspects of your past and seeing how they may be playing out in the present, as well as exploring how you are feeling in the 'here and now' and any pressing issues that you may be experiencing. I work with adults across a broad range of issues, on a short-term or open-ended basis. I have a special interest in working with addictions. As well as a private practice, I work for a community and schools-based charity, which specialises in counselling young people with alcohol and substance abuse issues.
