About me and my therapy practice

Welcome and well done for taking the first step to seeking help.

I am a qualified Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), offering warmth, compassion and empathy.

I am able to help you with many issues including anxiety, depression, loneliness and bereavement as well as feelings of being stuck in a cycle and not being able to find your way out.

We all struggle at different times in our lives but sometimes things can feel overwhelming and it can be difficult to find a way forward. Often we are caught up in our daily lives and it can feel hard to reach out to others about our worries and concerns. I believe I can help you to begin to make sense of what is troubling and begin to  bring balance to your life going forward.

Loss and grief can lead to a range of overwhelming emotions, including feelings of sadness, denial, anger, anxiety, loneliness, and fatigue. The closer the relationship the more difficult it may be to adapt after the loss, be it a loved one, a pet, a job, a way of life, youth, health, or culture.

I support people during this painful period in their lives to work through the feelings of the loss or grief. It is normal to experience a range of emotions but there’s no right or wrong way to grieve.

How I work

I offer Psychodynamic Psychotherapy which looks at how past events may influence your current patterns of relating. I provide a space for you to talk through your feelings without fear of judgement, helping you to make sense of your current discomfort or anxieties.

I strive to create a relationship where you can feel understood and comfortable talking about painful issues, allowing you to work through any difficulties so that you may find solutions that are right for your personal growth.

For more information or to book a therapy session, I would like to invite you to get in touch with me either by phone, using the contact form or by email.

Practice description

I offer shorter-term (3-6 months) and longer-term open-ended therapy. We can discuss this during the initial assessment session.

Sessions are 50 minutes long and will occur at an agreed, regular time each week.
