About me and my therapy practice
I am an experienced counsellor, specialising in stress, anxiety and life coaching. I am a Governor of Hospitals, College and School. I have been active in several Parliamentary Groups in the House of Commons. I am a Fellow of the Royal Statistical Society (since 2002), Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (since 2003), Senior Associate of the Royal Society of Medicine (since 2016) and Full Member of the Society of Expert Witnesses (since 2016). I won the Expert Witness Award for mental health from the Lawyer Monthly magazine and was accepted as a member by the Commonwealth Magistrates and Judges Association (their patron is Her Majesty The Queen). I am an expert approved by the International Criminal Court, who included my name in their List of Experts.
I graduated from 4 universities and specialised in mental health. In my career, I have worked as a lecturer in psychology, university researcher, government researcher, NHS manager and local authority senior policy officer for health scrutiny.

I work collaboratively with clients in a holistic, insightful and facilitative way to enable you to consider change. I listen attentively to you in a safe and confidential setting. I offer you the time, empathy and respect you need to express your feelings. I offer clients hope in times of distress.
I have extensive experiences in helping clients with a wide range of difficulties which may revolve around stress, anxiety, life changes, bereavement, health issues, relationship break ups and general dissatisfaction with life. I am subscribed to the DBS Update Service and passed numerous Enhanced DBS Checks.
