About me and my therapy practice
I know seeking counselling is a big step, and the key is finding the right counsellor for you. I offer a FREE 30min completely confidential consultation to see if you feel my counselling style will work for you. Fully BACP registered, NHS experienced, I offer Person-centred counselling, both in Brief Therapy format (up to 6 sessions) and deeper Long-Term Therapy (open ended).
I can also work in an integrative way, drawing on other therapeutic techniques such as CBT, Mindfulness and Solution-Focused Therapy where these will help. I practice both privately and within the NHS.
As an experienced Person-Centred counsellor, I respect that everyone is unique and individual. You are the only person who truly understands where you are now, so together we can explore what you need, and how you can make changes and move on, to build the life you want.
We are humans not machines. Life can be so busy with many competing pressures, or we can face seemingly impossible situations, including loss or trauma. We can easily become lost or overwhelmed and start to struggle. Often we can’t see or explain why things are so difficult, our thoughts and feelings can become confusing, and we can experience deep feelings of anxiety anger and despair. It can be difficult to see our problems clearly, and this is when Counselling can really help to find a way to move forward.
Often it can be difficult to talk about these things, even with friends and family, and we can start to feel alone, anxious or lost. This is when we most need kindness and compassion, and an experienced fully confidential counsellor. I can support you, providing safe confidential non-judgemental understanding. Together we can work through these difficulties to help you find a solution which works for you.
Working together with kindness and compassion, trust and respect, we will work to find your path through these difficulties, release the feelings that are causing your pain, and identify the changes you need to help you move on in a happier more positive way, to start building the life you want.

I offer a FREE 30 minute no obligation initial consultation.
Cost of Therapy £40 per session.
(I prefer to offer you a full 60 minutes in each session, as opposed to the customary 50 minutes, as I often find breakthroughs come towards the end of sessions).
