About me and my therapy practice
I'm a very experienced and warm and approachable counsellor .
My counselling approach can be of help with a wide range of issues and life events including:
Anxiety, depression, family issues, neuro diversity including ADHD, low self esteem, work based stress, controlling/abusive relationships, low confidence, imposter syndrome, online dating in later life, relationship issues, , bereavement, loss, sadness and loneliness and womens' issues and life experience.
Exploring your feelings and experiences in a warm, one-to-one non-judgmental, confidential relationship can provide you with valuable support, new insights and perspectives. It can also lead to new ways to deal with the issues that are having an impact on your life , mental health and overall wellbeing.
I work with all adults from age 18 upwards and at all stages of their lives.
I offer an optional low cost half hour informal consultation . This meeting offers you the chance to meet with me , discuss your issues and expectations of counselling, and then decide if I'm the right counsellor for you. I offer this because it's so important for you to feel comfortable with your counsellor and with their approach.
I’m a very experienced and approachable counsellor. A registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapists (BACP), and work to the code of ethics set down by the BACP ethical framework.
Professional background:
Prior to becoming a counsellor, I worked as a freelance learning and development consultant, coach and mentor, specialising in management development, personal development, Womens' development, employability and stress management.
