About me and my therapy practice
Hello, I am Zori (Zornitsa) Litova and I am a qualified counsellor offering short and long-term therapy. The way I work is relational and client-led and the aim is to help you, my client, understand yourself, and the complex feelings that brought you to therapy. My goal is to make you feel heard, seen, and respected while in the counselling chair. If you choose to be my client we will work together to access your inner strength and resources and replace unhealthy patterns of behaviour with healthy ones.
The approach I use is integrative which means that I draw on different theories including psychodynamic, person-centred, and transpersonal depending on the client’s needs.
Currently, all sessions are held remotely via video link, telephone, or email.
My first sessionBeginning your counselling journey and searching for a therapist can feel uneasy. Therefore I offer free 15-minute telephone consultation. This will give you a feeling of what is like talking with me and an opportunity to ask any questions you might have and explain what brings you to counselling. The purpose is to help you decide whether I am the right counsellor for you and ease the anxiety before you commit to therapy.
The first session is about getting to know each other - I will ask a few questions to gain a better understanding of your needs and situation and you will experience the way I work and have the opportunity to raise any further enquiries about our work.
