About me and my therapy practice
The counselling service I offer is warm, genuine and understanding. It is based on the belief that we are all individuals who deserve to be accepted for who we are and are able to make our own decisions about what is best for us.
Counselling gives you the time and space to explore your experiences and feelings however difficult these may be. It is a rare experience in which you are listened to and accepted without judgement or advise.
It is often referred to as ‘Talking Therapy’ because talking about problems is therapeutic in itself. I often describe it as ‘getting whatever is troubling you out so that it does not stay inside you where it does the most damage’
Counselling helps you to find a better sense of well-being and a way to move on from whatever is troubling you.
My first session
I offer a free 30 minute first session to clarify how I work which will allow you to decide if I am the right Counsellor for you. I will answer any questions you have and if you decide to book further sessions we will decide these together. Because every one is different you may decide you would like weekly, fortnightly or even monthly sessions so this will depend on your need.
