About me and my therapy practice
Deone is an integrative counsellor, which basically means that she uses a combination of psychological theories to inform her work.
As a therapist, Deone has been described as caring, approachable, straightforward and robust. Her ability to attune to and understand her clients has been fundamental in supporting them through counselling and longer term psychotherapy.
Deone's approach to therapy is relational and down to earth. Clients have found this helpful in enabling them to understand the process of counselling, identity their goals/aims and wholeheartedly engage.
Deone has over 20 years experience in education and is therefore a creative practitioner whom works well with and understands the difficulties faced by children and young people in today's society. She also supports parents (together or separately), particularly around issues of separation/divorce and parenting.
Deone works as an Associate Counsellor at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and in private practice from her garden consulting room, The Pavilion Counselling Practice. Located in a peaceful and private setting, ideal for both short and long term therapy.
