About me and my therapy practice

About me

If you are struggling with an area of your life, counselling gives you a safe space to explore what is causing you difficulty to help you find a way forward. It is not always an easy journey, but I am here to walk alongside you. I am happy to work with most issues.

I work with the Rewind Trauma Therapy technique to help with flashbacks and nightmares following being involved in, or witnessing, a traumatic event. Talking therapy can then be used to process the event.

I work with women's issues, such as: life transitions (retirement, menopause, divorce, new parents and preparing for end-of-life). I am accredited to work with pregnancy, infant loss and bereavement to work with parents and birth professionals around birth, pregnancy or postnatal trauma. I am a workplace mediator and an ILM 5 level Coach.

At an initial session we can discuss your concerns/issues and can see if we have a rapport. You are under no obligation to continue after the initial session if you feel we are not a good match. Counselling is as much about the relationship as it is about the work we do together.

Sessions: £50 per 50 minute session. A concessionary rate of £40 is also available, depending on your circumstances.

Practice description

During the pandemic, sessions are conducted over Zoom software. Once life is back to normal, I work from an office inside a community library.

The first session is an assessment session. They run for the usual 50 minutes and are charged at the usual rate.
