About me and my therapy practice
Hello, you may be finding life a struggle and hard going at the moment and you might be thinking about therapy or counselling as a way to explore yourself and the possibility of making changes in your life.
You may be experiencing a crisis, relationship difficulties, troubling feelings and thoughts, anxiety, work related stress, depression or historical experiences including abuse.
When we talk at depth with a trusted other about what really matters to us we find ourselves growing in awareness and insight. It is through such awareness that you are able to make choices about things you may wish to change or understand more fully and also come to terms with the things you can't.
Exploring difficulties with a therapist and gaining clarity around feelings and thoughts deepens self understanding.
I am an experienced therapist and offer a safe and supportive space for you. I believe effective therapy is grounded in warmth, compassion, creativity and understanding.
My professional background is in mental health and spans over 20 years. I have many years experience in working therapeutically with people from all walks of life.
My training is in Transactional Analysis and Integrative Psychotherapy.
My first session
I offer an initial consultation period of 30 minutes free of charge and without commitment. This is an opportunity for you to tell me what you are looking for and for both of us to make an initial assessment as to whether we think we can work together. You may want time to consider this.
