About me and my therapy practice

I am a fully qualified MBACP registered counsellor and psychotherapist, with a Master’s degree in Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich. I am an Integrative Psychotherapist which means I use theories and techniques from Humanistic, CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and Psychodynamic therapies to find the best way to help you.

I have spent a number of years working and volunteering in the charity sector; counselling in schools and universities, hospice settings and with MIND the mental health charity. I work in one-to-one therapy and have experience with complex mental health issues, working with people from all walks of life, backgrounds and ages.

I offer both short and long term counselling, with sessions lasting for 50 mins. I work online offering video sessions via zoom which allows clients a convenient flexible way to access therapy in a space they feel comfortable and safe.

Practice description

Counselling and psychotherapy can offer a safe confidential space in which to explore emotional or mental health issues with an independent, non-judgemental professional.

This can be an opportunity to gain a deeper insight into the difficulties you face and gain help in improving your emotional and mental wellbeing.

Therapy may help you to find better ways to cope or bring about changes in the way you behave, think or respond. This is a space where you can share things you may feel unable to discuss with anyone else.

Therapy will normally take place once a week and can be long term, open ended or short term focusing on specific issues. This will depend upon your needs, goals and expectations.

What I can help with

Abuse, AIDS/HIV, Anger management, Anxiety, Bereavement, Cancer, Child related issues, Chronic fatigue syndrome / ME, Cultural issues, Depression, Disability, Eating disorders, Health related issues, Identity issues, Infertility, Loss, Personal development, Post-traumatic stress, Pregnancy related issues, Redundancy, Relationships, Self esteem, Self-harm, Spirituality, Stress, Trauma, Women's issues, Work related issues
