About me and my therapy practice
My approach is supportive, accepting and gently challenging. By adopting a warm, non-judgemental approach to establish an honest therapeutic relationship whereby you can freely express and explore your thoughts and feelings allowing you to gain insight of any patterns that have been affecting you.
My belief and experience indicates that we all have the capacity to be in control of ourselves and our choices. By working together, you will become aware of what is really affecting you in the here and now and importantly we can look at how to take back control and move forward.
As an integrative counsellor I use a combined approach to psychotherapy that brings together different elements of specific therapies. I am able to draw on knowledge and skills from various counselling approaches based on your individual circumstances in order to provide the most effective and personalised therapy for your needs.
I work with issues stemming from cultural expectations within the Asian community. My proffessional experience of cultural identity, inter-cultural marriages, forced marriage and inter-generational issues, I am able to provide culturally appropriate counselling for these difficulties.
